it’s been awhile

it’s been awhile since the last time I post something here. It’s not that I don’t want to, but I don’t have anything to write. Even I have, I don’t have the time to do it.

My 18 months old son has to follow me to the office since end of September. Why one may ask. Because we don’t have a maid at the moment. So he has been following me like almost 2 months. So far, so good. I can keep an eye on him while working. But kids will always be kids. There are times when he just want to play 24-7 and I have like tonnes of work to do. But thanks to do co-workers here, during this time, we take turn to look for him.

My son can say one two three but in his own way “one, two, yee”
He loves playing with ball.
He can now kick while throwing the ball in the air.
He imitates almost everything we say. (I live with a married couple, and sometimes the wife called her husband ‘abang’ and the next thing we know, my son also call her husband ‘abang’)
He recognizes most of the people in the office.
He likes to tease me by crying loudly but he’s actually making cute faces.
He’s a bit grumpy, especially when he’s sleepy.
He doesn’t like sneezing at all. He always end his sneeze by saying “ugh!!”

Traffic

Jakarta traffic has been insane. sangatlah menyakitkan hati sehingga ada kala nya ingin juga dalam hati berkata "awat la bangang sangat depa ni?"

Eid break -Day 2

19th September 2009
The next morning we woke up for sahur. I brought ammar down stairs as well though he was still sleeping. Takut terjatuh katil pulak time kitorg sahur. But as usually, he woke up as soon as I was to put him on the mattress. Result: he joined us for sahur =).
We slept after sahur and around 8+ we woke up and took our bath. Today, we’re going to collect my kuih raya and my mini cheese cake at kota damansara.. wohuu!!.
My family is heading to the village and we’ll be joining them tomorrow.
Around 2pm we’ve settle everything and went home (MIL’s). We were so tired that the three of us went to sleep until 6pm. We woke up just in time for iftar. That night we didn’t go anywhere. We just spent the night with the whole family. Home sweet home.

Eid break- Day 1

18th September 2009
Hi people. We went back to Malaysia on the 18th September for 10 days break. I really look forward to spend my time in Malaysia as I have not been home for almost two months. First thing we’re going to do is heading to pasar juadah. They don’t hv pasar juadah in Indonesia. Imagine how excited were we when we saw two long rows of people selling dishes for break fast. I didn’t managed to join AJ for food hunting as it was raining at that time. We waited in the car. AJ said that he’s going to do a quick hunting but it turned out, he took almost 20 mins to select what to buy and he was walking towards the end of the stall. Then we went to MIL’s house for iftar and few minutes later off we go to Ruz Aladdin. I’ve promised my schoolmates to meet up for update session. There were only 4 girls and the rest are guys. We chit chatted for almost one hour and then we went to my mom’s place. We spend the night after a long intervention in order to get Ammar’s attention. Haha

Sick mode

I had cough and flu since last Friday. And ever since then, I have been trying to avoid kissing my baby. Takut berjangkit pulak. But each morning, he would sondol2 me and said “kss.. nak.. nak.. kss”. Me being very sleepy (he wakes up at 7 every morning incldng weekends, mind you), said “okay, okay, Ammar kiss mama”. Then he kisses me. And guess what, when I got home yesterday, my maid told me that Ammar couldn’t sleep the whole day, and every time he tries to fall asleep, I can hear him trying very hard to breath. I check his nose again, and it’s confirmed. Ammar got the flu from mama =(

I have been counting days. Yep, I am home sick. I really look forward to spend my time in Malaysia.

We have been planning roughly how to spend our eid this year. We’re going to my village before subh on the first day of eid. I was so happy when AJ proposed this to me as it means, i’m going to spend the first day of eid with my family. The thought that it came from him really surprised me because he is the type who just hates traffic jammed. I was so happy and since then, I have been dreaming of how i’m going to spend my eid this year..

On the way to office this morning, AJ said “malam raya kedua kite kena balik kl”. I was like, “apesal pulak?” “Ummi ajak pergi Kuala selangor raya kedua”
There goes my plan…

Hopefully can kau tim with ummi to go to Kuala selangor on the 3rd or 4th of eid. He he he

Stressed

I'm so stressed and this moment. Everyone has his or her own way to deal with stress. And everyone has different way in handling it. For me, I don’t have certain way to deal with it. I just can’t handle it well. And it just hurt when people around you keep telling that “you need to handle it well, you need to chill, bla bla”

First and foremost,
- U just don’t tell people how to deal with it because different people mean “different” means
- People experienced different things and for each of them to act the same in certain situation is impossible
- Family background is another thing that caused different attitude in handling stressed

So if I feel like eating a lot, talking loudly, speaking on the phone for long hours during my stressed time, please don’t stop me… or else you will see me crying non stop or perhaps i'm scolding someone for no reason…

Please, I beg you please…
I just need to channel it and thank Him I do not choose to kill people in order to deal with it.

Just my tw0 cents during my stressed period in my stressful office with a very stressful environment..

I think I need to be with my son at this time…

Earthquake

I had my first encounter with earthquake in the office earlier. It was surreal. I feel dizzy. Feels like vertigo. I keep seeing moving objects and it was as if I had problem with my vision. It was blur. It happened few times for less than 1 minute. When it happened I was sitting but suddenly I feel dizzy. At first I couldn’t register in my head what just happened. After few seconds, I realized that it is earthquake. Now I am worried bout my son at home. Is he okay??

Holy month of Ramadan

Hi everyone. I have not been feeling well the past few days. And I can see how the rage and anger has taken over me in my previous post (blushing). I cannot handle anger very well. I think I have to sign up for anger management class. Ha ha.

to stay or not to stay

last night we had a pretty serious discussion on whether or not we can bear to live in indonesia for a long term. After the discussion with aj couldn’t stop thinking which place is the best for us. Malaysia or Indonesia? Here I list down pros and cons of staying in Malaysia and Indonesia

Indonesia
Pros
·Cheap stuff
·More savings.
·It makes us closer as a family =)
·Best downhill track
·We don’t have to pay for the rent, electricity bills, water.Whatever we need, they’ll provide it for us as long as it is a necessity

Cons
·The road condition is really bad
·The surrounding area will not improve because of the mentality of the people here
·The traffic here is so bad and its killing aj.


malaysia
Pros
·I can see my parents whenever I want to
·Civilization

Cons
·High cost of living
·We have to pay for almost everything
·Less savings

That’s all I can think of right now. I really feel bad for aj as he’s driving on his own in Indonesia. I wish I can drive him sometimes but it’s too dangerous. It’s not the driving part that I’m afraid of but it’s the traffic. You will know if you’ve come to my place ;)

Introduction please..

I’ve never introduced my family to you formally. So here I am introducing my little family to all my readers.

I am a 25 years old mom who’s currently working in Jakarta with my husband. Hubby, AJ is one year older than me. We have been married for 2 yrs +. And we have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy (who’s no longer a baby from my point of view) named Ammar. He was born on the 5th June 2008.

Ammar has been a very round a chubby boy. Most people who met him when he was still 3 months thought he was twice his age. He weighed 3.47kg when he was born, and he fully breastfeed ever since. Ammar started to crawl when he was 5 months +. He started to walk when he was 1 year +.

*Currently he couldn’t walk due to some minor accident happened in playground one week ago. I’m just hoping that he will be able to walk sooner. I’m kinda missed him walking hand in hand with me.

recently I bought dvds in karawaci mall. It only costs me rp7000 (rm2.50) per dvd. Aint that cheap?? Usually I bought around 10 dvds per month but recently im so hook up with tv series that I end up buying the whole season (1 season has like 8-10 dvds) last week, mind you. I just finished watching one tree hill, and grey’s anatomy and now im watching desperate housewives. Do u have any suggestion on the latest tv series that is interesting to watch?? (I don’t really watch tv here because I don’t understand a thing they’re saying)

my mil asked us to go back for my bil’s akad this weekend. She even said that she’s going to chip in some money so that we can buy ticket to go home. However, due to technical reason, we still haven’t manage to buy the ticket yet. Im just hoping that the price will not increase. I mean, bole la naik sikt, tp jgn la naik byk2. mati le nak bayar tiket je nnti.. huhu

a lot has been happening lately
.. our maid who has been working with our family for more than 5 years decided to quit after eid
.. my son is able to walk without any help but he still has problem to stand on his own
.. I still have 3 days to fast but suddenly my bestfriend came yesterday . dugh! (this is the first time im not welcoming her)
.. my mil asked us to go back for my bil nikah on the 18th so most probably we are going back to Malaysia this week. Again! Haha

.. the internet in my office is so cacat that I feel like “tak payah ade internet lagi bagus!!”
.. my sister starts working as a medical doctor today in hospital batu pahat.
.. I cant wait for my pay day!! Two more days to go..

I managed to finish all my pending work for the last 3 weeks in just 2 days time.. what a relief!! But I just hated it when my colleague who’s older than me doesn’t seem to know anything bout it. (he’s my superior mind you). He took over everything especially when im not in the office. And after I came back he just handed me all my works and leave it just like that. And when I asked him, why is this thing is not complete?? He simply said, oh i thought is not important and I just throw it away.. how stupid is that??

Wahh, sakit nye perut aku!!! Huhu (PMS)

We went to karawaci mall last Saturday and guess what I found?? I found this dress which I wanted to buy last time but it was not there. Suddenly when im not in the mood for shopping, there it is. Huhu, I think I must buy the dress before it’s gone again after my pay day. What do you think?? The dress (well, it’s not actually a dress, it’s more like casual).. mm Im really bad in describing clothes.. huhu sorry.. by the way, it costs me rp220000 = rm78.60 but its on sale. 20% less. So it would be rp176000=rm62.90.. cant wait to try it on and stash it.. ahah!!

I bought sudoku just before we went back to Jakarta last week. And I was so into it that aj asked me, “dah buat byk mana?? Awak pakai pen?? Pakai la pensil, nnti kalau salah mcm mana?”. I replied, “alah, ni senang je. Konfem takde salah punye. Saya kan tere” (we just love to brag to each other =p). not so soon after that, I couldn’t complete my 5th sudoku. Damn!

crap

sometimes i always think the worst thing that cud happen to my son. as what aj always says, i have a very wild imagination. it's a relief when my imagination doesnt come true. however, lately i manage to let go of everything. just go with the flow. go with the flow. taking things slowly. step by step. insya allah He will guide and help me through all this.

by the way, im starting to enjoy blog hopping when the office connection suddenly block any web which url ends with '.com'.. sabo je le. so here i am, blogging in a place where we usually hang out (aj, ammar and i) on weekends

i just came back from my home country and i enjoyed every moment though ade kena sekolah kejap.. haha.. i will only go back to malaysia during eid which is more than 2 months from now.. im missing home already =(

A new beginning
